Fedora 9 (64-bit) on Macbook Pro (4,1) - aka Penryn - Part II

Since my original post, I've found out a couple of more thing about Fedora 9 on the MBP 4,1.

1. Suspend/Resume works w/o a hitch.
2. iSight camera also works (including Skype).

One tip:

I added the line:

exclude=kernel

to my /etc/yum.conf to make sure no future kernel upgrades break any of my setting since it is running so well right now.

My current kernel is: 2.6.25.6-55.fc9.x86_64

Another tip:

Make sure your pommed executable is under /usr/sbin (and not /usr/bin) or the init script won't find it.

I'm thinking about buying a MBP, the only thing keeping me from doing this is my concern about Linux (Fedora) compatibility..

Did you get the scroll and tap working? And the shortcut keys: brightness, eject, etc? Is there anything not working bothering you?

Thanks!

I haven't gotten the touchpad to work fully yet... FN keys work with pommed. iSight works, everything works as described, except for the touchpad, which doesn't bother me since I don't like touchpads

Is the keyboard illumination working properly?

No, that doesn't work... but that's mostly eye-candy.

mbp touchpad is work (1 and 2 finger tap, 2 finger scroll). kernel 2.6.27 already support it.

keyboard illumination is work too. i'm using pommed rpm from http://downloads.diffingo.com/diffingo-repo/

and for the wireless, i using broadcom-wl instead of ndiswrapper. you can find it from rpmfusion.
