The 'real' Fedora 10 boot screen

if you are using Fedora 10 you may have not be gettting the graphical boot screen that comes with (instead you may be getting a 3 color bar going across the bottom of your screen). To see the 'eye candy' screen, you may need to pass the 'vga' option on your grub.conf to boot linux using framebuffer mode.

On the 900A Eee PC, adding a 'vga=9' to your /etc/grub.conf (after 'quiet' on kernel line) will do the trick.
On some Lenovo thinkpads and some nvidia cards the option 'vga=0x318' works great as well.

Enjoy.
